I help creatives thrive in life (and work)
Colors-outside-the-lines solutions for a colors-outside-the-lines life.
- Is "real life" suffocating your creative passion? Are your passions eating away at your real life? (Or, do you realllly suck at "adulting" when there's so many cool things out there to explore/create?) Are you burnt out, over dreaming and under completed, or just plain lost in direction? I can help.
We'll do just about anything to make sense of reality...
including make shit up. Especially make shit up (though we often forget that little detail). In fact, these made up rules are pretty necessary for pretty much every part of life. Example: traffic lights. Totally arbitrary color scheme (where's the purple??) but can you imagine the chaos if we didn't all agree that red means stop?
The problem is...
we often become inflexible and slow to adapt. We tell ourselves: this thing I believe, this is reality. We get stuck, unable to update our beliefs to serve new goals and experiences. And because our beliefs shape our behaviors and outcomes, that's where things go sideways.
Even worse...
some of us transform our creative superpowers into our personal kryptonite. Shame around who/what we "should" be, ranging from "I don't make enough (or any) money from my creativity to escape my day job" embarrassment to toxic "everyone's work is so much better than mine" comparisons. "Suffering" for our art by way of an overabundance of substances to keep the creative juices flowing on demand, or avoiding the anxious vulnerability of putting our (he)art in the arena for judgement. Not honoring our body and brain's innate needs for rest and recovery, or tending to the mundane (but oh so essential) tasks for managing our lives and relationships in the "real world." We can become well and truly fixed around ways of believing and doing that strangle both our creative spirit and our daily lives.
Are you "stuck"?
- You might feel angry, powerless, resentful, depressed, ashamed, or even straight up brittle over parts (or all of) your life.
- Reality and (self or other imposed) expectations aren't playing nice. You might struggle with imposter syndrome, or want to disappear under the table whenever someone asks "so, what do you do?" or your white collar friends talk about their "real jobs."
- Life is stuck on the spin cycle. You’re ready for a change, but you keep falling into the same undesired patterns. You shoot yourself in the foot so often, you're amazed you aren't a paraplegic.
- Your dreams feel very far away. You might be a starter of many projects, completer of none (or few). Or, you might struggle with burn out and overwhelm trying to find that golden balance between real life, making money, and creative passions.
- You're stuck in neutral, afraid to take a leap. Perhaps you hear that siren call of your passions 25/8, but you're terrified of walking away from the security of your "normal job," or you're unsure how to work your passions around your day-to-day life. Or, a deepest-dreams project feels equal parts exhilarating and too risky.
- Carb cravings, booze, weed, and or “other”-you regularly reach for "outside assistance" to manage creativity bursts, mood, sleep, or energy levels
Your creativity is your SUPERPOWER. Together, we'll use these parts leave you stuck and give you friction as a spring board to get curious about your life. I will help you see your whole self as you are, redesign the parts that aren't working quite right, and teach you to recreate personal belief systems that lock you into ways of being that no longer serve you.
Hi! I'm Adrianne.
I'm multi-passionate creative. I practice sustainable hedonism. I've been described as "chaotic neutral" and informed (many times) that my personality belongs in someone twice my size. Throughout my teens, I was diagnosed with 6 different "incurable" physical and mental chronic conditions. In my 20's I decided I'd had enough. "No" and "it can't be done" where not acceptable answers for my life...or yours.
I'm wildly unorthodox, and take a no-holds-barred approach to creating lives that serve their owners biggest dreams and best selves. There are no forbidden topics here. I work with all parts of a creative's live, including those sometimes over indulgent "shadow zones." (Sex, drugs, and rock & roll, baby!)
Coaching is still "wild west" territory: anyone can call themselves a coach, no education needed. At present, I have over 600 hours of professional training in both life and health coaching, hormones, functional health, mental health, and few more esoteric (but super useful) self care modalities.
While creative and delightfully unorthodox, my approach is also is informed and data driven. In addition to my trainings, I regularly review scientific research with a critical stink eye. You won't find a lot of woo-woo here. No candles. No 40 ways coconut oil or apple cider vinegar can save your health/marriage/job. Wanna know if a gratitude journal will actually make you happier? There's actual scientific research for that. (And the answer might surprise you!)
Working with Adrianne was secretly part of my self sabotage pattern...
I load up on a lot of projects, but suck at the follow through. Adrianne caught on quick. Whenever I tried to give myself lots of homework at the end of a session, Adrianne would make me break it down into bite sized chunks, and pick only one or two action items so I could succeed. She helped me realize that my pattern of overwhelm and failure was really a way I was keeping myself safe.

I do put work into it, but sometimes it feels like I don’t, and it still works.
Adrianne has been able to weave in and out of work, for a more well-rounded effect. Sometimes to fix something beating around the bush just isn’t going to work. You can’t really say anything wrong in this case.
I do put work into it, but sometimes it feels like I don’t, and it still works.
With Adrianne, there are a lot of “aha” moments, and no shame. I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen next!
